Who Are U.S. Grains Council Members?

USGC membership is comprised of over 100 organizations, including checkoff boards, agribusinesses, and producer groups, who together form a unique partnership with the goal of building global markets for America's grains. For more information about our members, see the membership directory.

Any organization can be a member of the U.S. Grains Council so long as they agree with the Council's mission.

Why Become A Member?

Council membership provides a variety of benefits:

  • Access to strategic market information. Council members receive periodic updates on developments in international markets, Council monthly management reports and foreign buyer contact lists.
  • Member promotion. The Council educates foreign customers about its members' goods and services through its web site, publications, trade teams and workshops (buyer team visits to member operations, showcasing of member officials as speakers for Council workshops). This can develop into partnering activities, where the Council and its members each contribute components to advance a strategic market development.
  • Leadership opportunities. The Council brings together key agribusiness representatives with the top leadership of 25 state grain checkoffs. Council members can establish domestic business alliances and increase their domestic visibility by being active players at Council membership meetings.
  • More U.S. grain exports. Increased exports mean more business for the U.S. companies that are part of the delivery system. Within this broad objective, the Council is playing a cutting edge role in the development of a new identity-preserved delivery system targeted toward high value exports.
