Our Vision Be a catalyst to advance the understanding of the value of international trade. Our Mission Build partnerships in support of the positive role of international trade. The Grains Foundation seeks to advance the understanding of the role of international trade for U.S. agricultural producers and agribusiness; for overseas customers and consumers; and for governments here and abroad. The Foundation will undertake activities to advance the understanding of all participants of the value of their involvement in trade between countries. These activities include: - To advance understanding of the positive role of international trade for U.S. producers and U.S. agribusiness; for overseas customers and consumers; and for governments here and abroad.
- To support the effort to maintain U.S. grains as the world’s choice for food, feed, fiber, and renewable resources.
- To help train the future leaders in agriculture through the principles of partnership and practical experience.
- To build partnerships between producers, agribusiness, customers, and government.
- To encourage the adoption of appropriate technologies, domestically and overseas, which serve to advance mutually beneficial trade.
- To promote constructive relationships between industry and news media, domestic and foreign.
The Foundation will be a bridge. That bridge will bring together all participants in international trade. It will build upon the work and reputation of the U.S. Grains Council, which, for 42 years has built markets and served international customers for U.S. corn, sorghum, barley, and their products through a unique partnership of U.S. producers, agribusiness, and the public sector. The Foundation will undertake activities to advance the understanding of all participants of the value of their involvement in trade between countries. It will promote the advantages of U.S. agriculture and agribusiness and emphasize the value to customers and consumers.
