Chip Councell waited 10 years for his spot on the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) Board of Delegates after a mission overseas sparked his interest. Now, the Council has recognized him for 10 years of service, including as the organization’s chairman, during the 15th International Marketing Conference and 58th Annual Membership Meeting in Houston, Texas.

Ed Breitmeyer taught school for 30 years before he switched to farming full time, but he never really left the classroom behind. Instead, he has used his educational expertise to bolster Michigan’s involvement in the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) over a decade as a USGC delegate for the Corn Marketing Program of Michigan.

U.S. Grains Council (USGC) staff from across the world will join USGC members, delegates and guests in Houston, Texas, next week for the Council’s 15th International Marketing Conference and 58th Annual Membership Meeting. 

The meeting, scheduled for Feb. 12-14, will allow USGC delegates, members and advisory teams (A-Teams) to engage directly on the most critical issues related to international trade of U.S. corn, sorghum and barley as well as ethanol and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS).

USGC Welcomes New Member Conestoga Energy Partners, LLC

The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) is pleased to welcome Conestoga Energy Partners, LLC, as a new member.

Established in 2006 and located in Liberal, Kansas, Conestoga Energy now operates three ethanol plants with a total production capacity of 205 million gallons as well as serving as a leading provider of distiller’s dried grain with solubles (DDGS).

In this role, Esser will support the Council's global strategies and trade policy and biotechnology departments in their market engagement and support of the Council’s overseas offices.
