Kimberly Karst

  

Kimberly Karst is Manager of International Operations for the U.S. Grains Council, a non-profit organization that promotes the use of U.S. barley, corn and sorghum and related products worldwide. In this capacity, Karst assists in directing programs in Asia, including strategic analysis; program planning and development; implementation and evaluation; membership servicing; and recruiting consultants.

 

Prior to this position, Karst served in positions as executive assistant and communications coordinator at the Council. Karst began with the Council in 2005. She is a graduate of the University of Montana and holds a degree in political science and communication studies. Karst grew up on a barley, wheat and canola farm in northern Montana.

The U.S. Grains Council is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to building export markets for barley, corn, sorghum and their products. The Council is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and has 10 international offices and active market development programs in more than 50 countries. Financial support from the Council’s private industry members, including state checkoffs, agribusinesses, state entities and others, triggers federal matching funds from the government and support from cooperating groups in other countries, producing an annual market development program valued at more than $28.3 million.
